How to install

The extension is currently in beta and available directly from GitHub. The Chrome Web Store submission is in progress — once approved, installation will be one click.

1

Download the extension files

Click the Download Extension button above and unzip the file somewhere on your computer. That's your extension — no build step needed.

2

Open Chrome Extensions

In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions (paste this into your address bar and press Enter).

3

Enable Developer Mode

Toggle on Developer mode in the top-right corner of the Extensions page.

4

Load the extension

Click Load unpacked, then navigate to and select the extension-dist/ folder inside the project. The Thai Word Splitter icon will appear in your toolbar.

5

Pin it to your toolbar

Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, find Thai Word Splitter, and click the pin icon so it's always visible and one click away.

What happens to your text

Word splitting is done entirely on your device using BudouX — an offline machine learning model. The text you select is never sent anywhere for splitting.
